Automatic Metallic Pendulum Impact Testing Machine
PITD-I Series Instrumented Pendulum Impact Testing Machine is strictly designed according to national standard GB/T3038-2002 “Inspection for pendulum Impact Testing Machine” and GB/T229-1994, ISO148-1, ISO148-2,ISO148-3, DIN 10045 and ASTM E23 and also it can do Izod and tensile impact test with fixtures. It is mainly used to determine the anti-impact capability of metal materials under dynamic load. Carry out the functions of clear zero and return automatically, capture the value of lost impact energy and pendulum cycle by means of setting up with computer program, and the result can be displayed, stored and printed out. It is widely used in universities, automotive and aero companies, research institutes and steel plants etc.

Load frame adopts integral design and one body casting process with features torsion-free frame with low friction pendulum bearing , high stiffness and no deformation. Supporter of pendulum adopts single beam(dual arm support) structure and supporting axle get uniform force, which makes deformation quite little at the moment of impact, and robust pendulum arm can also reduce the deformation of impact moment. Anvil and base are integral structure and designed strictly as per ASTM E23, which greatly reduces friction between specimen and anvil so as to guarantee the correctness of test results.
• Pendulum raising system: it consists of motor, reducer and disc friction clutch etc. with features of working at lower noise, stable running, quick clutch & reliable brake etc. Conventional motors with mature technology & good reliability. The friction clutch with prompt action, good reliability and low noise.
• With servo motor, impact test can be done by setting energy, drop height and drop angle.
• Pendulum releasing & locking device: it mainly includes pneumatic release cylinder.
• Safety door is provided. The safety enclosure surrounding complete machine. Only the door is closed, the trigger of the pendulum and any action of the machine works. Also the door is with function of door closed testing function. When doing batch tests, after door is closed, the test will be automatic started.
• Safety shield is made by Aluminum and perspex. Also the machine is with single lamp with light and shows the machine is in good working condition and also safety status.
• Sample collection box is at side of the base of the machine to collect the broken samples.
Instrumented Impact Testing System
They can be equipped with high precision instrumented strain-gauged striking edge & high-speed data acquisition system. This instrumented test system can measure the force of a test specimen during an impact event. Then, the instrumented test data can be used to calculate the energy absorbed by the test specimen. In addition, the crack initiation and arrest loads can be used in fracture mechanical models
